Majesty is a very personal piece to me. Coming from humble beginnings, I always felt a power and determination within me to be great. This strength, I believe, came directly from my mother who always instilled confidence, courage, and resilience in her 4 boys. The painting also has influences of my father’s Rastafarian culture in the use of red, green, and gold flowers to adorn the background. If you look closely, you will see images of Ethiopian kings and queens, the lion, and Ethiopian flag.
